"CIRCLE SONGS"
Choreography: Judie Clark, 2006
The circle represents totality. Every culture uses the circle as a symbol
for order and balance. Zen artists use the simple O as a vehicle of the
self, evolution and of passion. In Navajo healing ceremonies, the person
who is to be treated is in the center of the circle. Jung used the circle
as a mandala, a discipline for pulling all the scattered aspects of one's
life together to find a center and a balance between the personal circle
and the universal circle.
Circle songs has five sections:
Section 1: Simple Circles
Section 2: The Healing Circle
Section 3: Connected Circles
Section 4: Mandala
Section 5: Chakra
